A free, independent way to find home care agencies in England, built on the public register kept by the Care Quality Commission.

Where the information comes from

Every agency on this site is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator for health and social care in England. Names, addresses, phone numbers, registered managers, ratings and inspection dates are taken from the CQC's public register under the Open Government Licence and refreshed every night. We do not list unregistered providers. Agencies that have claimed their listing add their own description, coverage area and rates; we mark those listings so you can tell the difference.

How agencies are ordered

By CQC overall rating (Outstanding, Good, Requires improvement, Inadequate, then not yet rated), and within a rating by name. Agencies cannot pay to move up. When you ask to be matched, we send your request to up to three agencies covering your postcode in that same order.

Who runs it

MatchMyHomeCare is owned and run by Grit Accounting Ltd (company number 17561271), an accountancy practice based in Stoke-on-Trent that works with care providers. We built the directory because finding care for a relative is hard enough without a dozen incomplete lists. Being a client of the practice has no effect on a listing or its position, and we say so to every agency.
